Hi, I’m Scott Hubbard
I started Hubbard Communication because I’ve seen some very competent people struggle when they get in front of a room full of people.
I’ve also observed that some quick changes to your behavior can have a significant impact on how you’re perceived by your audience.
And, if the smartest people in the room can’t deliver a presentation with confidence, the best ideas are at risk of being lost.
That's where I come in.
I teach fundamentals of communication that are not common practice.
I've spent the last decade teaching more than 2,000 professionals how to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling communication—from the Fortune 500 C-Suite to training rooms at big consultancies.
My approach isn't about teaching you to be someone else—it's about helping you be the best version of yourself in front of any audience.
I studied improv at The Second City in Chicago, and those techniques have become some of my most powerful coaching tools. The concept of “Yes, And” has had a huge impact on my coaching and training style. Deep listening and reacting to our counterpart transfers directly from the stage to the corporate office.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Purdue University. I was in attendance for the Rose Bowl in 2001 and the NCAA Basketball National Championship in 2024. The losses hurt, but I still Boiler Up every season.
When I'm not in training rooms or on Zoom calls, you'll find me obsessing over fantasy football, chasing around my three-year-old son Charlie, or riding my bike through the arboretum (unless it’s winter, and then I’m hovered over my happy light under a blanket).
My mission is simple:
Help thoughtful leaders be heard—not because they speak louder, but because their message is clear.
Ready to make your next presentation the one people actually remember?
How It Started

It all started in Indiana in the 1980s.

Behind this flat top was a long, thin mullet, AKA a rat tail.

Base-stealing machine. Also afraid of the ball.

One of the first-ever pictures taken with a mobile device. The Field Museum of Chicago is a special place.

My wife, Courtney, inspired me to find work I love. She's the best.

After ten years in sales, I followed my passion. Teaching people to communicate more effectively.

Then, another ten years later, we welcomed this guy.

He also likes to talk a lot.

Hates the sand. Still wants a bucket to play with it.
